Erica Blaire Roby

Roby's appearance on Blue Smoke Grill (Food Network) shows that Roby has a lot more to her cooking background than most people realize. She worked with some of the top chefs in the country and received a grant from Preserve the Pit for $7,500. Competing against the best barbecue chefs in America, Roby put her skills to the test. Roby endured the pain despite a cut finger.

Roby is a psychology graduate and has worked as both a criminal defense lawyer and as a wine expert. Prior to her appearance on Food Network, Roby spent some time as a sommelier, pairing wines and foods. This work gave her the opportunity to rediscover her passion for cooking and for the kitchen. Roby was raised in a barbecue house, and her love of the grill is a natural result.

Roby began cooking barbecue even though she was a lawyer. She was inspired by her father's dream of opening a barbecue restaurant, so she took up the task. Roby signed up for a celebrity barbecue chef Harry Soo's cooking class in 2018. As a result, she became a certified pitmaster and was soon working in a barbecue restaurant.


Barbecue was a hobby that she began to enjoy and then became a passion. At first, she made barbecue dishes from her back porch. She then went on to compete at barbecue competitions all across the country, where she cooked alongside some of the most renowned pit masters in America. She has also opened several pop ups in Dayton and Ohio. She hopes to eventually open a food truck.

Team Brawl vs. Team Brawl and Team Anne

Food Network BBQ Team Brawl 3 will feature two of the finest chefs from around the globe competing for the ultimate title in grilling. Anne Burrell and Jet Tila will be taking on Bobby Flay, Anne and Team Anne in an unforgettable dinner-party brawl. Matt Roth, the Austin-based Smokin Beauty co-owner with Thao, returns to "BBQ Brawl" and will be back in the new season.

Ann explained to the contestants what she was making, while Jet (from Food Network BBQ Team Brawl) let them choose. As a result, Team Bobby failed to make his ceviche. This time Team Anne has an advantage. Anne even leapt down on Team Bobby's throat while he was reaching to get an ingredient.

As with all Food Network competitions, the new season of BBQ Team Brawl features some familiar faces. Lee Ann Whippen is the Team Anne judge. She has been competing in barbecuing for 23 year. She is also the managing member of Deviled Pig Tampa and a judge in the Kansas City Barbecue Society. She has won numerous national and international barbecue championships.


Flay and Symon fought it out for the best barbecue sandwich in another battle. Lee Ann chose a traditional approach to the sandwich while Susie chose an exotic one. Her pork belly banh mi pushed the boundaries of flavors while the judges thought it was too thick. The Team Anne burger was delicious, juicy, and well-baked.

"Bobby Flay" on Food Network BBQ is a high-impact cooking program that features the most renowned barbecue master. Bobby Flay demonstrates his bbq expertise by utilizing flavor-packed ingredients from around the globe. He turns his backyard into a BBQ Mecca by using the tools he loves. Bobby Flay raises the bar on grilling in each episode.

Bobby Flay, who founded Mesa Grill in 1991 was quickly recognized as America's best chef. He was awarded the James Beard Foundation Rising Star Chef Award in 1992. His other notable restaurant openings include Bar Americain, Bolo, and Bobby's Burger Palace. Bobby Flay is also the author of over 14 cookbooks, and has a podcast together with Sophie. As of March 2015, Bobby Flay is dating Christina Perez, a senior content and creative director for cannabis company Miss Grass. Flay has one child, a daughter, born in 1996.

The ranch will welcome a new batch to compete in the first episode. Each team will provide a signature snack. In the subsequent episodes, the teams will face off in a team brawl. The Master of 'Cue will be awarded to the winner, who will also become the official BBQ expert on Food Network's digital platforms. The series will have 10 episodes beginning June 14.
